Xeroid Technologies Inc., based in the U.K., is unveiling its Sonim technology on Thursday.
The company, which also sells technology to companies like Dell and Canon, is working on a smartwatch that could be able to track people’s heart rate and monitor the user’s activity in the home.
The smartwatch is the latest in a series of products from Sonim, which first demonstrated a smarthome system at CES in Las Vegas last month.
Sonim’s latest smartwatch will have a sensor that can measure heart rate, sleep and activity, along with other data about the user.
It’s designed to be worn on a wrist, or placed on a belt, which could be used to monitor other personal health data.
“We want to make smartwatches a reality,” Sonim CEO Tim Manker said in a statement.
“Sonim’s new watch, like all of Sonims products, will have sensors to monitor heart rate while the wearer sleeps or sleeps and restrains.
The wearable is also built for motion tracking, which we are excited to be working with our partner Nest to bring to life.
The sensor can also monitor the wearer’s heart, breathing, and sleep patterns to ensure that you can stay active.
The watch will be available in four colors, including red, white, blue, and pink.”
Sonim has worked with Nest on various projects, including a smart home connected to an alarm clock.
Manken says the watch will have several different functions.
One is a smart thermostat, which is connected to the smartphone and controls the temperature.
Another function will be to alert users when the phone is in use.
Sonom’s new smartwatch could be one of the first smartwares to be available to consumers.
Sonicom, which controls Nest, declined to comment on Sonim or Sonim Technologies’ new product.
Soni is not the only company to create smartwands.
Sonumix, which develops Nest thermostats, announced a similar smartwatch in March.
The Watch, which costs $300, is designed to monitor temperature and heart rate.
Sonimal, which builds Nest thertherms, is developing a similar product called a Nestwatch that will track heart rate from a sensor and also monitors the user, as well as monitor activity.
Sonimo, which makes Nest thermo, is also developing a smart wristband, which it says can track and monitor temperature, heart rate as well, breathing and activity.
Google has already unveiled its own smartwars, such as a smart watch that tracks activity.
But the Google Glass wearable, which was released last month, is still in development and is not yet available for purchase.
