AT&ts Next-Generation LTE network will reach speeds of up to up to 1.5Mbps on the company’s network by the end of the year, with an additional 10Mbps coming in 2019, according to a report by The Wall Street Journal.
That would be a major leap from the 5Mbps the company currently advertises on its website.
That means AT&s network is expected to offer speeds of around 1Gbps, which is faster than the 1G speeds offered by Verizon Wireless, but still slower than AT&Ts flagship LTE network, Verizon’s T-Mobile US.
The speeds will be available on AT &ts Next Generation LTE network for AT&T Next Generation customers.AT&ts announcement of these speeds comes just a few weeks after the company announced that it was boosting speeds of its Next-gen network to 200Mbps.
The increase in speeds will come in three parts, and the first is a 20Mbps boost to speeds on the network.
The Next-generation network has been upgraded to support LTE 4.4 and 5.5GHz bands, with speeds up up to 200 Mbps.
The company said it plans to expand these speeds to 400Mbps and 500Mbps in the future.
The Next-age LTE network is also expected to be more reliable than the network it replaced, which was built to support the current iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus.
That meant that AT&ms Next-G generation network was also built with the intention of supporting a number of other upcoming smartphones.
The company has also revealed that its Next Generation network will also include a range of new devices, including the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge.
The new Next-g generation network will be launched in 2019.
